About Series D
Hatz Series D engines are single-cylinder, air-cooled diesel engines with direct fuel injection (SUPRA designation). Direct injection provides higher combustion efficiency, lower fuel consumption and better performance compared to the predecessor with indirect injection.
Selected Series D models are available in the Silent Pack variant with fixed sound insulation integrated directly at the factory – specifically 1D81C and 1D90C (or 1D90EC and 1D90EC DPF in the electronic version). The letter "C" in the designation comes from the English word Capsulated and indicates the factory-encapsulated engine. The enclosure reduces noise by 12 dB at a distance of 7 m, which corresponds to a perceived noise reduction of up to 90%. Models 1D42 and 1D50 are not available with the factory Silent Pack.
Air cooling eliminates the need for coolant – the engines run reliably at temperatures from −20 °C to +50 °C without risk of freezing or overheating.
Series D variants
Four models cover the power range of 7–11.2 kW. All are air-cooled with direct injection.

Silent Pack – factory enclosure (1D81C, 1D90C)
The Silent Pack variant is supplied from the factory for models Hatz 1D81C and Hatz 1D90C (or 1D90EC and 1D90EC DPF in the electronic version). The letter "C" in the designation comes from the English word Capsulated and indicates the engine's fixed factory encapsulation.
- Noise reduction of 12 dB at a distance of 7 m – corresponding to a perceived noise reduction of up to 90%.
- All service points (oil filling, dipstick, air filter) are accessible from the outside without removing covers.
- The cooling air circuit inside the capsule is designed for demanding climatic and dusty conditions. The exhaust silencer is safely integrated in an insulated section above the flywheel.
Models 1D42 and 1D50 are not normally available with the factory Silent Pack – they are available only in the standard open design.
