The Hatz engine as a hydraulic drive
Hatz engines are popular in industry not only as a drive for machinery, but also as a compact source of hydraulic power. Combining a Hatz diesel engine with a hydraulic pump creates a self-sufficient power unit that requires no external electrical supply.
These solutions are deployed wherever independent hydraulic power is needed in the field or in areas without an electrical grid – mobile construction machinery, rescue equipment, industrial manipulators or backup drives.
As an authorised Hatz service partner for the Czech Republic, we supply engines with a hydraulic power take-off, pump installation, service and spare parts.
Types of hydraulic power units
Hydraulic drives are available based on Series B, D and H – from compact single-cylinder engines to powerful multi-cylinder units.
Series B – compact units
Single-cylinder engines 1B20–1B50 (1.5–8.6 kW) with a hydraulic pump. Air-cooled, minimal installation dimensions. Suitable for lighter mobile hydraulics, lifting platforms and small manipulators.
Series D – medium power output
Single-cylinder engines 1D42–1D90 (7–11.2 kW) with a hydraulic power take-off. Available in the SUPRA SILENT PACK version – noise reduction of up to 90%, ideal for working in built-up areas or at night.
Series H – high-power units
3- and 4-cylinder liquid-cooled engines 3H50/4H50 (18–81 kW) with a hydraulic pump for demanding industrial and construction applications. Turbo, intercooler and common rail variants.
Silent Pack version
Power units in a SilentPack soundproof enclosure – damping the engine and the pump as a single unit. Used in areas with low-noise requirements: hospitals, schools, residential zones.
